ROCK ISLAND TRAIN MUSEUM
This Rock Island Railroad Museum reveals the lasting legacy of fhe Rock Island Railroad freight and passenger trains that ran from Chicago to Los Angeles with scheduled stops in Gerald, for over 85 years.
The hands-on museum exhibits have interactive dioramas showing how the Railroad has impacted our community in the past and today.
These museum displays illustrate how our Rock Island town currently hosts a rural farm hub, provides a trailhead for the “rails to trails”
Rock Island Trail State Park, preserves the past with five historic buildings trailside, and supports an energized community on US Hwy 50.
