This Rock Island Visitor Center provides a stop, half way between St. Louis and Jefferson City on historic US Hwy 50, one hour traveling east or west.
As a HUB, we host interactive exhibits of activities within a 50 mile radius, between the Missouri and Meramec Rivers, celebrating our rural, farming, and railroad heritage. We are a member of the Missouri River Valley Loop
As a non-profit, our mission is to promote tourism in the Gerald community, encouraging visitors to stop in Gerald and enjoy our local businesses and industry.
We are networking with states from Maryland to California, to celebrate the longest US Highway 50, and its 100 year history since it was built in 1926.
This Rock Island Visitor Center houses a Made in Missouri gift shop and Ice Cream Shoppe to support local business and farmers.
